About Us

Our Roots: Volunteer Box

Volunteer Box LLC began in 1994, founded in Gallatin, Tennessee by Jack Robinson Jr., who started working in the packaging industry at just 16 years old. Over decades of hands-on experience, Jack saw the same problem across every warehouse, shipping line, and manufacturing floor: products were getting damaged because traditional packaging simply wasn’t strong enough where it mattered most — the edges and corners.

The Evolution: Introducing Tuff-Angle

As the company grew, so did the need for stronger and smarter protection. Customers needed packaging that could survive warehouse stacking, cross-country transport, last-mile delivery, and everything in between. Standard corner boards weren’t holding up — especially for heavy, oversized, or fragile products.

In response, Volunteer Box LLC created a new solution:

Tuff-Angle — a patented product line designed to solve the industry’s biggest packaging challenges.

Built with a triple-fold, triple-layer design, TuffAngle edge protectors offer superior strength, impact resistance, and load stability that conventional protectors simply can’t match. What started as a single innovation has now become a full product line of protective solutions used across furniture, appliances, manufacturing, logistics, and countless other industries.
